Don't eat the f***ing candy!!!

If it were that easy!!!

I haven't been blogging in about 4 months. and I have been telling myself to blog again probably a thousand times. There have been a few things going on since November 2012 which made me stop blogging or let's just say I forgot about my blog.  I said it.

I don't really wanna go into detail about what happened but one thing is that I'm stuck at home. I'm a stay at home wife. I don't have a job. It sucks. But this also means I decided today that I will get my butt up and start blogging again as I do have quite a bit of time on my hands.. :)

So instead of continuing on the road I have been on for a while I will make a u-turn and get right back to where I was. Or even further in that positive direction....

When I started blogging I wrote about cakes and sweets and baking. Then I blogged about everything I could think of when I spent a semester in Belgium. And then I decided to blog again and it was more about beauty and fashion I think. and this blog ... well I don't ever know what it is about. I guess about life. My life. and therefore, it's about baking, fashion & beauty and other random things in my life. oh and me trying to live a healthier life. so I want this to be about me. and I know that there are so many blogs out there. some really successful and some probably just like mine..

I always thought it was all about how many readers you have and that people actually wanna read what you write. But for me it's just a way of coping. Coping with life. So I will write about my life on here no matter of how many people actually read it. It's therapy ... Please don't get me wrong if there IS someone reading this. I appreciate it! THANKS :)

For tonight all I can say is: Don't eat that f***ing candy and stick with it!!!!

A journey told by feet: summer

I don't really know why but I started to take photos of my feet. no fetish. sorry. I don't even like my feet very much. I don't really like feet in general.

but somehow I like what I see when I look down to my feet. I like shoes. shoes are the deal!
so I've been taking photos of where my feet have been taking me. a journey told by feet if you want.
I just changed the title of this post. I  had " these feet are made for walking" first. but you know. I'm not the sporty walking type of gal and so that felt weird.. so there you go.

the "whys" of my life

I have been thinking. you hear that right. thinking. it's pretty hard sometimes but I'm up for it occasionally.

some questions I have been asking myself lately.

why does my head hurt so badly right now? I have been drinking lots of water and I have slept enough and my head just hurts like it's about to fall off..

why is it so hot?

36°C on sunday AND monday???!!!!! are you kidding me?! That's 96°F! That's way to hot for me. come on I live in the middle of the alps. there are mountains and there's lots of snow in winter it can't really be this hot right now. I'm gonna die.

why did I buy a new cellphone? nonsense it was! I tell ya!!! I have been a strong apple supporter for years. I admit that. I know it's stuff that is waaayy too expensive and you pay for the looks and the name but who cares. I was happy with the products. We have everything apple. so it's works great together. Of course I had an iphone as well. what else do you expect. one of my friends used to call me "apple melly" :) I was happy in my little apple world.. *sigh* until the day when my iphone started to mess with me and I just didn't have the nerve to cope with it. I breathed and I was ok again. then my iphone messed with me once more and I ended the relationship. I got myself a brand new samsung galaxy note. it's HUGE!! and I mean huge. I didn't really choose to buy it but the lovely lady kinda talked me right into it. it's ok. I like the size now as I'm used to it now and I always carry a handbag with me so it works for me. but now this phone is messing with me as well. I've had it for like half a year and it's messing with  me. I had my iphone for almost 2 years when that one started acting out.
I'm going back to apple. I swear! this is my punishment for not stayin loyal throughout the hard times...

why do I keep buying shoes that I most probably don't wear in the future? another addiction of mine. shoes. I'm a girl and a total sucker for shoes. I love them all. high, low, flat, colourful, plain, platform, wedge, sneaker, ballerina, pumps, slingback, peeptoe you name it I most probably have a pair somewhere in my closet. the thing with shoes is that you will fit them forever (most probably). 1 or 2 or even 10 kgs more on your hips, the shoes will stay by your side unlike the pants and the shirts and skirts. they will stay loyal to you no matter what will come. most of them at least. so I might see a pair on sale knowing that I won't wear them every day I still talk myself into buying them because you know it's a classic. everyone should own a pair of these. you can wear them for a nice dinner or when you have a job where you have to be dressed up or or or.... get the idea? and of course you can never, I mean never ever own too many chucks! never. :D

(not my closet but I would love to have a closet like those two.but mine is awesome too. yes. awesome!)

and last but not least for todays philosophy lesson:
why do I suck when it comes to time management? I have been working on it. let's say I tried. accomplished? not really I'd say. I just tend to do most things right at the last minute. it starts with simple things like vacuum cleaning. I could to it now but I decided to do it later but then I might meet my friends and so it gets pushed further away until I 'm in a real hurry to do the cleaning and well.. I'm stressed.
that's the same for most things. housework, homework, telephone calls, paying bills.. I don't like that. But I'm basically and openly speaking just too lazy to change anything. Procrastination is my middle name. It has worked like this for me forever and so it's most probably gonna stay forever. nah, I'm really trying to change something. I might just start today! positivity!!!!!!!

tonight (and I mean tonight not tomorrow mel!) you will do the washing and the cleaning! so you can enjoy the rest of your weekend! let's try this....

Fall is coming!! not.

Fall is coming, eventually. I think.  I hope. maybe.

I'm not a summer person. Not because I'm not the most confident person but because it's just way too hot for me. I hate it, I mean I really hate it when I'm walking around naked (you read it right NAKED) and I'm still hot. nope. not for this girl. I don't like it. I really don't!

so I can't wait for fall. winter and spring. I would say winter is my favorite. I LOVE snow. it makes me happy. I love the day when it first starts to snow and there is this special atmosphere. love, love ,love love it! I'm ok with fall and spring. I like the sun and when it's just hot enough to sit outside with a t-shirt or a cardigan. that's all good with me.

so here's my perfect fall outfit. I know it's about 33°C (91F) here at the moment and it's supposed to stay that way all coming week. (I'm already dying even thinking about it!!!!!aaarrrrhhhhh!)
but still I already bought some nice fall things (that's what's in the shops right now, no more summer clothes) and I wanted to show you.

I' totally obsessed with yellow. and green and coral and pink and purple.. not blue. dunno why. but well, coral and pink and purple are more my summery colours. and I love the turqoise and coral combinations...
FALL however is more yellow, brown, green for me.

I couldn't fine any yellow cardigan or jacket so far but I just ordered these two online and I will check them out. for the beginning of fall I still wouldn't wear anything on top as it might still be quite warm. but for the beginning of winter definetly a coat or a nice warm cardigan.

Let's talk the talk - tattoo time

If you've read the "about" section you might realized that I like tattoos. So does my husband. No, we haven't met at a tattoo convention or anything like this. And no, I don't have tattoos because he has some and viceversa. We each got our first tattoo before we met...
I have a total of  7 and he's got 7 as well but his are mostly interconnected so you can't really count them as individual tattoos anymore. Mine are all seperate. Some people like that, some don't. Some prefer them to be connected as one big piece of art and some don't. As some like tattoos and some don't. It's a question of preference and taste. And it's always gonna be like that.
So I respect it when someone doesn't like my tattoos or tattoos in general so please respect my opinions as well. thanks :)

I have wanted to get my first tattoo when I was about 15 years old. It wsa just beginning to be really fashionable at that time and there were said to be tattoos that supposedly faded within 4 years or so. well, I'm really glad I never got one. thanks to my dad. I wasn't allowed to get one. and i'm still very grateful for that decision! well, tattoos don't just fade away. but I was a naive littel gril who wanted a tattoo and was willing to believe it. who cares now. I didn't get one. just move on mel!

so I moved on and when I turned 19 I was down under travelling all by myself. I travelled around Australia for 2 weeks and then I moved to New Zealand visiting friends and family. I stayed with my NZ host-family for abour 3-4 weeks I think and there of course I wanted to get a tattoo and that's exactly what I did.

me and my bestie in the summer of 2008

I went in there with my bff and we both got our first tattoo.

(yep, that's my wedding dress. but here you see my first tat. on the left it's already been extended. so it's just the middle part which is also called a "koru")

and since then I'm addicted. True words. I know it's clichée and so on but I do love my tattoos and I can't wait to get more. I would be covered in tattoos if it weren't for my job. if I would own my own business I would totally rock a full sleeve! I tell ya!!!!

let's move to some juicy photos! right?! not too juicy, though :) but there is some bare skin involved as I'm about to show you the artworks on my body.... be AWARE! Images of bare flesh ahead!!!!! :D

so the next one I got was this one:

it's on the inside of my left upper arm.

I got that in jan 2010. another reminder of the place I would call home *home is where your heart is...lalalalalala* do you know that song? the sounds it is... RANDOM! mel!
as you may be able to tell it's the star constellation called *crux* or better known as southern cross..

next was this one in feb 2011

just freshly done that's why it's so red

it's latin and reads "fatum suam viam invenit" which is probably totally not making any sense as my latin grades sucked but still I traslated it myself and it is supposed to be meaning "destiny finds its way". ( now you can feature it on one of those pages where they show the tats that are spelled incorrectly)

Next one was in I think november 2011
it's a fleur de lis (on the right)

don't have another photo of it. sorry. but you get the idea.

google it and it gives you different meanings. religious ones and some about french royalty and so on. for me it's just that I liek the looks of it and it has three petals and 3 is the smallest number a family consists of. there you go ....think whatever you want to :)

next one was back in new zealand on our honeymoon Jan 2012.

(done by the same artist as the "koru" in the middle. same shop, same city.)

then I got this one round about end of jan/beginning of feb 2012
two gerbera daisies (favorite flowers) a black bow and the handwriting of our fav tattoo artist reading
"in my heart today and always" as a memorial tattoo of my grandy who passed away in feb 2011.

this on is on my right upper thigh.

and the last one so far : taaddaaaa!
a dandelion with my mum's handwriting reading "all the I am I owe to you" as I owe everything to her.

taking photos of by myself is kinda hard...

there are a few more planned already in my head.
I got a voucher of a friend for a cupcake tattoo. now I'm currently planning on the concept to go with it. I want it on my other upper thigh and I don't just want a cupcake. looks a bit lost I reckon. so I will make another post about that upcoming tattoo.

then I already have an appointment for feb 2013 at a czeck artist. his name is ondrash and he makes these wonderful aquarel tattoos. all I'm gonna say about that for now is that it's supposed to be for my dad.... the rest is still unwritten  undrawn... (somehow I have all these lyrics and songs in my head today)

for now I'm gonna go sing out loud and enjoy the rest of the evening with pup waiting for hub to come home from work!

this is one of my hubs tattoos which he also got in NZ on our honeymoon. I will post his tats as soon as he is finished with his big project.

night, night!

The journey of my hair

Just recently I got a haircut. Not just a trim but a haircut. A major makeover I would even like to call it.

But let's just go a bit further into my past..

As a little kid I cannot remember ever having had longer hair. It was maybe shoulder length but never longer (My mum is a short hair mum, never knew her any different than with short hair).. So I guess she just always got my hair cut. For my part I always wanted long hair but I never had tha patience of growing it. I might get to  a little longer than my shoulders but never really long. So as soon as marshmellow and I started to think about getting married (beginning of 2010), I started growing my hair. Even though we weren't engaged by that time I still wanted to grow my hair just so it would be long for the wedding.

pretty old photos from aroud the same time. I can tell cause I'm wearing the same pair of glasses in both photos.

So that is what I did.. growing my hair. until it was pretty long (at least for my standards). I loved my long hair. I loved the fact that I could just put it up ina bun when I was lazy, or I could straighten it and wear it down so everyone could see my long hair and what I loved most about it was that I could do different updos. I loved to braid my hair in different ways and try new styles.

Sometimes before the wedding. again I can tell because of the glasses I'm wearing. :) Probably the longest my hair ever was.

Well my hairdresser (I love her to pieces) and I decided to change it up a bit. So we (well she did the cutting) cut it in an asymmetrical way... It looked lovely when she did it, which is ususally the case when you get a new haircut and it's all nice after it has been styled the right way. But for my part I just didn't know how to work it. I ended up putting it in a bun most of the time and I was hot with all the hair and I got really fed up. so I called her (well texted) and asked for another appointment.

This is what came out:
The journey of my harcut. The one on the top right is the asymmetrical cut...

I just went in there, said to her:"Cut it off." And off it is.

I LOVE IT: I feel free and confident. Hubbs, well he is ..., male. He says it's not too bad but he just doesn't like short hair...on women of course, I mean. But I do like it. You will probably hear more about my hair in the future. I change the colour a lot :D

Welcome - well, come and follow me around :)

Anyone out there? Probably not (yet)...

The whole purpose of this is to try and get family and friends all over the world to be able to take part in our life, to see what we have been up to and follow us around..Random things we encounter every day, trying to live a healthier life and tackle marriage on a daily basis.
Us, that is my husband marshmellow, our dog ares and I.... More on us can be found in the "about" section.. hahaha sounds funny.

Maybe there will even be someone reading this, someday :)
